Investment Activities: Crimson Ant has commenced investment activities with a 130 million tonnes gold tailings treatment project

In the first half of 2012 Crimson Ant made its maiden investment via Borneo Unggul Projects Sdn Bhd in the Lohan Mamut project.

The project is an initiative of the Sabah State Government of Malaysia, and has been approved to be implemented under the Environmental Protection Act, 2002, of the State of Sabah, Malaysia.

Drilling and metallurgical testwork has been completed, and the design and engineering phase has commenced.

The Lohan Mamut project consists of treating and processing the 130mt copper gold tailings generated from approx 25 years of mining at the nearby Mamut Copper Mine. The Lohan operations will use treated water from the Mamut Mine pit towards its dewatering.

The result of the tailings treatment and dewatering will result in resolving the leaching of environmental pollutants. Crimson Ant is proud to be involved in this green environmental rehabilitation and rejuvenation project.

Crimson Ant and Borneo Unggul Projects Sdn Bhd laud the green initiative of the Sabah State Government and its commitment to environmental care and protection. We appreciate the strong support of the Sabah State Government in our implementation of the Lohan Mamut project.
